FALLING FOR COLOR: The Bold Pieces I’m Reaching for This Season

Every fall, we’re told to tone things down and trade our bright summer wardrobe for browns, taupes, and quiet neutrals. But if you’ve been here long enough, you know that’s not really my story. I’ve always believed that color doesn’t have to fade with the season. In fact, I think fall is the perfect time to wear it boldly.

Lately, I’ve been gravitating toward hues that bring life into the colder days. Think cobalt blues, deep reds, rich magentas, and bursts of yellow that remind me of sunlight. These tones not only lift my mood but also make my outfits feel intentional and expressive.

Because while the weather might be cooling down, I still want my wardrobe to feel alive.

Why I’ll Always Choose Color

Color, to me, is confidence. It’s not about being loud; it’s about being seen, even in your quietest moments.

When I wear something colorful, I feel like I’m carrying a bit of my energy with me. Whether I’m heading to a meeting, running errands, or simply dropping off my daughter to school, color helps me show up more fully as myself.

That’s what I love most about it, it’s expressive yet effortless. You don’t need much to make a statement. Sometimes, all it takes is one vibrant piece to bring everything together.

The Pieces Defining My Fall Closet

This season, I’m curating a closet filled with color that carries intention and pieces that feel good, look good, and tell a story.

Here are some that I’m reaching for (and a few I’ve been eyeing):

Color-Pop Co-ords

Matching sets are having a moment and I’m all for it. They make getting dressed so simple, yet they look like you planned everything. I’m loving vibrant pinks, lime greens, and jewel tones this season.

Vibrant Knits

Fall fashion wouldn’t be complete without cozy knits. But instead of beige and gray, I’m reaching for sunshine yellow, coral, and even bold stripes.

Dressing with Joy

Over the years, my approach to fashion has evolved not because I’ve changed my taste, but because I’ve learned to honor what feels authentic. For me, that means leaning into color, embracing comfort, and choosing joy over perfection.

As the season unfolds, I hope this inspires you to wear what makes you feel alive. Whether that’s a pop of red lipstick, a cobalt blazer, or a pair of bright shoes, let your wardrobe remind you that color is meant to be celebrated, not hidden away.

Because this season isn’t about blending in. It’s about standing out softly, gracefully, and confidently.
