MY QUICK COUSCOUS DINNER RECIPE

If you’re looking for easy to make dinner recipe, then you’re in the right place. When it comes to cooking couscous, you don’t need to spend that much time over the stove. You can cook your couscous without using the stove and use the air fryer to cook your protein.

Ingredients

  1. Protein of choice (I used tin slice beef for this recipe)
  2. Grape tomatoes (cut into two pieces)
  3. Rosemary
  4. Mushroom
  5. Onion Leaves
  6. Fresh Italian Parsley
  7. White or sweet Onion (chop for cooking)
  8. Clover & Alfalfa
  9. Basil Paste
  10. Ginger Paste
  11. Dry Parsley leaves
  12. Coconut Oil
  13. Chicken Broth
  14. Spices of Choice (I have added some of my go to spices below for reference).

Couscous cooking instructions

You will need a glass bowl with a lid. Put the couscous in the bowl, add your seasons and mix your dry couscous. Next, add chicken broth or water to cover the couscous. Depending on how much couscous you have, you always want the liquid to be a little above the couscous. Finally, add olive or coconut oil and dry paisley leaves to the couscous. Mix them all together one more time, and cover with the lid. Make sure its sealed with no air entering. Set it aside and set the timer to 25mins. After 25mins, mix one last time and serve.

Seasoning the protein

Using a mixing bowl, pull olive oil into the bowl. Add all your seasons (I leave this for you to decide). Add your protein to the oil and season mix. Add fresh basil and garlic paste, mix and cover. Sit the seasoned meat aside for about 10mins. Add to the air fryer and cook.

Cooking your sauce

Bring a cooking pan to hot, add coconut oil. Once the oil is hot, add the rosemary and chopped white onions. Let it fry to tinder and add the cut mushroom. Allow it to cook for about 2-5mins and add your cut grape tomatoes. Next, add the cut clover & alfalfa to the mix. Let it cook for another minute or two, add your seasons of choice and chicken broth. Let the sauce cook for another 3mins, add the fresh onion leaves and fresh parsley leaves to the mix. Leave it to cook for two mins and take down. Do not overcook the sauce. You want all the ingredients to be cook at a tinder level. Never overcook your meal.
