Cooking brings me so much joy. It’s my way of showing my love to my family and friends. Some people love giving gifts as a sign of love, I love to cook for my family. I am always pleased when my family or friends finished their plate of food. That to me means they received the love I give them through my cooking. Over the years, I have shared snippet of my cooking with you all on my Instagram stories, but never fully in depth. When you all asked that I share my recipes on the blog, it was a hard decision for me to make. Cooking to me is personal, its a form of expression of love from me. Not that I do not love you guys but rather I was afraid to share this part of my life with you all. With that being said, I have gotten over my fear and I hope you enjoy this side of me. This part of my life that I have shielded from you guys for a very long time. Side note: please forgive my presentation of the food lol, just know that it taste great. Welcome to Mo kitchen and table.
Pasta Ingredients
- Any size pasta or spaghetti
- White jumbo shrimp (Costco has them fresh or portain of choice)
- Heavy whipping cream (love the Kroger brand)
- Shrimp and seafood seasoning (I have added photos of spices below)
- Basel paste
- White or sweet onion
- Fresh garlic
- Onion leaves
- Italian parsley
- Small tomatoes
- Smoked Paprika
- Additional season of choice
Cooking instructions
Pasta
- Bring pot of water to boil. Add salted butter or olive oil and a little salt for flavor.
- Add pasta to the boiling water. (boil to medium. Don’t over cook)
Shrimp
- In a bow, add olive oil, basel paste
- Season of choice
- Smoked paprika
- Add fresh lemon juice for more flavor
- Add the shrimp to the seasoning base you just created.
- Let it sit for some time and fry in a frying pan
Pasta Sauce
- add olive oil (or oil of choice) to frying pan
- Add chopped onions and garlic
- Cook for few minutes. Remember never to over cook anything.
- Cut small/grape tomatoes into two and add to the onions and garlic
- Add heavy whipping cream
- Add more seasoning
- Cook for few mins (5mins or little more)
- Tip: make sure the sauce is more than the pasta. This way, you get the pasta soaking in the sauce (lack of better description ) the goal is to have more sauce than pasta
- Add pasta to the sauce
- Add the chopped Italian parsley and onion leaves.
- Add air fried shrimp
- Remove the meal from the stove right away. The goal of the chopped parsley and onions leaves is presentation. Nothing more (you want pretty looking food lol)
- Serve with air fried shrimp and you’re ready to eat
