Memorial Day weekend is that time of the year when we start to experience a little bit of summer and all there’s to come. From day parties to beach/pool parties, this is the time you begin to get inspiration or insight on what to come for summer fashion. Personally, this time of the year helps generate my summer closet ideas, and since it is close to summer, which is my favorite time of the year, I tend to get overly cute for the holiday.
This year, I’m taking a day trip to the beach after my boot camp workout with my coach. I am not looking forward to the sore body, but I am excited to exercise and stay fit.
Here are 25 style inspirations for this upcoming Memorial Day weekend.
What Do You Wear on Memorial Day?
#1. Wear something loose-fitting. Simple but fashionable is the goal when it comes to MDW outfit selection. Wear something that is relaxing but makes a statement. A ballon sleeves midi dress will make a statement at any party you go to this weekend.
#2: A Linen set will be a perfect outfit for this Memorial Day weekend. It’s comfortable, classy, and causal. Pair your linen set with a handbag and your favorite heels or wedges. This is a casual yet comfortable outfit to wear at any party.
#3. Button-down shirts: preferable white button-down shirts. Keep it low-key but fashionable. Add a pair of your favorite jeans, a white button-down shirt, and wedges. You want to keep your shoes comfortable all this weekend.
#4: Overalls/denim jumpsuits. Pair this with a bodysuit and sneakers. You are making a statement with this look. It is fun, simple, yet stylish for a cookout or gathering with your friends and loved ones.
#5. Colorful yet fun sundress. Accessorize your sundress with your favorite slides and bag. Elevate this look with an oversized hat and sunglasses.
#6. Denim shorts and jeans for my ladies who love to show the lags like myself. Pair your shorts with a button-down shirt or with a graphic tee. Add some accessories like a hat and sunglasses to complete the look.
#7. Mini dress with vans and denim jacket on top to complete the look. My summer closet must-have has always been a mini dress. It is quick and easy to style. A mini dress look is a great outfit idea for MDW.
#8. For my minimalist fashionista, instead of all white or all black or brown, you’re wearing, add a pop of color you’re your shoes or bag to add a little surprise or element to your look. Remember always to have fun with your accessories.
#9: It’s time to bring out your dresses, wear a beautiful floor-length floral or bold color dress to that backyard party. Add some blet to snatch in the waistline.
#10. Bring out those white mom jeans you’ve been keeping at the back of your closet. Add a white tee to go with an all-white look or a natural color bodysuit to keep the on trendy but stylish. You can dress this down with designer slides or dress it up with pumps or wedges. Either way, you are bound to make a statement.
#11. Keep it all the way casual with a jogger set, but add an element of surprise with your shoes or bag. You never know when the weather will change, so add a jacket on top to elevate the look.
#12. Camo pants are part of this year’s fashion lineup. Pair your Camo pants with a button-down shirt or cropped top to create that edgy and stylish outfit.
#13. Accessorize whatever look it is that you decide to go with. Add bags, hats, heels, or flats, and my personal favorite is sunglasses. You want to be comfortable but fashionable as well.
#14. Demin jeans: not the 90s style jeans that is trending currently but go for the skinny jeans and pair it with a button-down shirt and your favorite pair of shoes. Finish the look with a crossbody bag and sunglasses.
#15. A floral or solid color romper paired with white sneakers to accessorize the look. Add a shoulder bag to complete the look.
#16. Right now, silky dresses are my favorite dresses. Pair this with white sneakers or slides plus a crossbody bag. You’re ready for that pool party with this look.
#17. Go for a denim on denim look by wearing a short denim romper set, a denim platform heels, and a shoulder bag. It’s simple but classy.
#18. Cord-set, something off the shoulder or long-sleeved. A beautiful cord-set look will be a good pool or beach party outfit for Memorial Day.
#19. For my classy ladies, a white t-shirt dresses with some gold accessories to make a dashing statement.
#20. Pair your mom’s shorts with stripy tees and flats. Again, I am here for showing the legs during the summertime, and MDW weekend is the best time to bring out those summer looks.
#21. Throw a maxi skirt over your bodysuit for your beach getaway. This look is both functional and stylish.
#22. Another linen pants option, pair with your full-body bathing suit and some comfortable shoes.
#23. Wide legs pants and a graphic tee for a panic MDW look.
#24. For the wedding guest, a floor-length maxi dress with your favorite accessories like floral headbands and heels.
#25. Another beach option would be to wear a stripy t-shirt dress with a gladiator sandal. Finish the look with a shoulder bag and sunglasses.
That is all for today, queens; see you next time.
