Hello friends! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving day with family and friends, because mine was. Let’s get into this review, the buzz word for this year’s Fall season has been Walmart Fashion. The thing is before Walmart Fashion became the buzz word of the season, my mom got my siblings and I Walmart clothes. I remember my very first shopping experience in the U.S. was at Walmart lol, but I will save that story for another day! So, let’s get into these pieces.
I got five looks from Walmart and accessorize them with pieces from other brands.
- Gray cardigan turned into a dress with belt and knee-high boots
- Black satin skirt and dark gray turtleneck paired with a knee-high boot
- Black Dress paired with a scarf and boots
- Gray jogger set paired with a blazer and bootie
- Active wear
The setting for the looks was everyday wear in the community. I chose these looks to showcase how wearable they can be for your everyday run around. Personally, I buy clothes that I can wear more than once. Pieces that will stand the test of time and can be styled in multiple different ways. I turned the gray cardigan into a dress by adding a belt and some boots. I added the scarf to the black dress to give it that extra luxe look. That might have been my favorite look, the jogger set and blazer. I felt so bossy, chic and expensive in that look.
Let’s talk about the money. Prices for me were a must. I needed to make sure that my pieces were affordable and of good quality. The cheapest item was $7 (jogger set) and the most expensive was $50 (Blazer). I liked that Walmart’s prices were for all budgets and the clothes were made for all body types. What was also exciting for me was that Walmart had many options to choose from. You can also find loungewear, sleepwear, office wear, shoes etc. I found that my items weren’t high-end quality, but they are worth the price tag.
So is Walmart fashion worth your penny – personally I would say yes! However, if you are a Gucci or Dior gal or guy, then maybe Walmart is not for you. But if you’re on a budget, and you need to add a few pieces to your wardrobe, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to start with a few pieces from Walmart. If I had to compare the pieces to another department store, I would say they are similar in quality to Target. Although Target is a lot more expensive, their quality is not far off from Walmart.
