2023 BACK-TO-SCHOOL FASHION IDEAS FOR TEACHERS

The back-to-school season is finally here and not only for the students but for the teachers too. Personally, l love this season as it gives teachers the opportunity to revamp their closets with some stylish and comfortable pieces. But most importantly affordable as we do not want to break the bank. In this blog, we’ll explore different fashion ideas that will have you looking fabulous and confident in the classroom.

Let’s kick off with some wardrobe staples. You want to have versatile pieces that you can easily mix and match to complete a look. This includes having some tailored slacks, buttoned-up blouses, and skirts. If you are a neutral-tone girlie then opting for tones like navy, gray, and black would give you a wide range of varieties to choose from and you can easily mix and match without feeling like you are repeating clothes often.

Let’s talk about bottoms that you can include in your closet. Dress pants are always a great idea. You can look into straight pants and flared pants; both are a good fit. You can pair this with buttoned-down shirts to complete the look. Then we move on to skirts.

These are a hit or miss, so you definitely have to consider your personal preference. You can look into pleated skirts which you can pair with fitted shirts or t-shirts, or you can look into fitted skirts for a more formal look.

I remember from the time l was in school, dresses were always a hit for teachers. They are almost every teacher’s favorite. I get it, they are easy to wear and less stressful. You don’t need to think too much when wearing a dress. Dresses are flattering and very comfortable.

If you are a playful girlie you can look into more fun colors and patterns to suit your style. Depending on the type of class you have, you can either pair them with a low-heeled pump or some loafers or ankle boots.

Depending on the weather and the state you are in, you might consider looking into some blazers and cardigans. I know it can be a little bit chilly in the morning and you want to throw on something light or if you want to just look sophisticated you can add a fitted blazer to complete your look.

I know we spoke about slacks and skirts earlier on, now let’s look into tops and blouses. Personally, l love to express myself by the way l dress. So, if you are an outgoing person and vibrant don’t be afraid to pop in some colors to your outfits.

Friday outfits are always the best. I love it when teachers bring out their personalities on Fridays. You can look into cargo pants with T-shirts and some sneakers. You can also pair some denim bottoms with t-shirts too to bring out a casual look.

Now that we are done with the outfits let’s look into footwear. Being comfortable should be the main focus here as teachers are on their feet the majority of the day. Opt for some stylish but yet comfortable loafers, pumps, and sneakers to complete your look.

Lets get to the fun part which is adding accessories. Accessories can easily elevate a look and make a statement. Adding a necklace, watch or cute earrings can make a difference.

As a teacher staying organized is very important and having a structures tote bag can make a difference as you can carry your materials in a stylish way. Here l would advice investing in a quality bag since you heavily use it daily.

I hope this was helpful as you start your new academic year. As you are planning out your outfits always remember to include your personality, have fun and most importantly be comfortable.
