FIVE REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD SHOP FROM THRIFT STORES.

I remember my days in college, being a broke college student and spending my weekends in Goodwill or my local thrift stores trying to get some outfits for upcoming parties or school. Oh, those were the good times. Today, I want to share five reasons why we should all be shopping at thrift stores.

Who does not want to spend less on gently used quality products for little to none? If you’re frugal and watching your budget like most of us do, why not consider bargain shopping by thrifting?

Vintage for the win

One and most importantly, you can find vintage pieces in thrift stores. Pieces that are hard to find in regular stores but also still relevant in today’s trend. Looking for that classic blazer, skirt, or dress, you will most likely find them in thrift stores for a fraction of the cost. Some of my favorite blazers were purchased from my local thrift stores.

Cost-effective

Two, thrift stores are cost-effective. You’re buying quality items for less. When it comes to budgeting and buying pieces that have value, thrifting is the way to go. I have spent less than $100 in a thrift store and come out with over five outfits. When I was a college student, I spent my weekends in thrift stores, shopping for cute outfits for upcoming parties. I always enjoy my time thrifting. I still have pieces I brought from thrifting years ago.

Let’s save the planet together

Three, recycle. Thrifting is also saving the planet. Almost everything in thrift stores is recycled, which is good for the earth. People donate gently used or not use at all clothes, household appliances to their local thrift stores.

Location Matters when thrifting

Four, location. Location is very important when thrifting. The best pieces I have gotten when thrifting is when I shop in “rich or upper class” neighborhoods. I have gotten a Chanel set for under $100 in a thrift store that I would get for hundreds of dollars.

One-of-a-kind pieces

Five, one-of-a-kind pieces. Unlike vintage pieces, these are pieces you can only find at a thrift store—that slack machine from the 80s or a signed baseball bat. The options are limitless to one-of-a-kind pieces you can find in a thrift store.

So next time when you’re looking for ways to save but look good at it, consider visiting your local thrift stores. You will not be disappointed. My blazer from today’s post was purchased for $14 from my local thrift store.

That is it for today, guys. I hope to see you back soon. If you enjoyed this post, please comment, save, share and repost.
